When hazardous waste poses a threat to public health, a quick and thorough response is a moral imperative. Mike Moriarty, owner of Moriarty Environmental Solutions, Inc., (MES) has made it his business to protect human health and the environment. MES investigates and remediates hazardous releases quickly to reduce impact and efficiently cleanup sites.

MES Helps Move Local Food Bank

On Monday, January 17, 2011, MES offered an entire day to moving the Catasauqua Community Food Bank. Using five MES personnel and three company vehicles, the entire contents of the food bank were transferred from the depths of St. Mary's BVM church basement on Union Street in Catasauqua to their new location at 527 Front St. in Catasauqua. MES transferred numerous truckloads amounting to several tons of food, freezers, shelving units and other equipment from the church and safely into place on Front St.

Additionally, MES brought 500 pounds of food which its employees donated to the food bank. Local Girl Scout Troop #63486, along with many local volunteers, assembled the items at the new location. Thanks to the tremendous collaboration of time and effort, this local food bank was ready to open and serve their clients by Wednesday, January 19th, without missing a beat. MES enjoyed the day spent helping such a great cause.
